Welcome to Downie Central Public School! We are located in the Downie Ward of the Township of Perth South between Stratford and St Marys. Our student population is composed of students from Kindergarten through Grade 8. We have a wonderful school community with an engaged and active School Council and positive partnerships with local organizations such as the Downie Optimist Club.
At Downie Central, students are encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life. We have a spacious school yard that provides students with plenty of outdoor learning opportunities and activities to take part in during recesses and outdoor play. We offer a variety of clubs and teams for students to participate in, helping them to identify areas of interest and to improve their artistic, athletic, and leadership skills alongside the academic and social skills developed within the classroom.
We are proud of our school, our students, and the amazing people who work, volunteer, and are involved with creating our positive, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
